Process
Biofly employs a sophisticated, environmentally sustainable process to efficiently convert organic waste into high-quality, nutrient-rich fertilizer, leveraging the natural abilities of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae. Our process is meticulously designed to operate in a closed-loop system, taking approximately 40 days to complete a full cycle of waste conversion. The process begins when BSF larvae are introduced to organic waste, where they consume and break it down for three weeks. During this feeding period, the larvae transform the waste into valuable organic matter, which is rich in nutrients that improve soil health and support sustainable agricultural practices. The larvae’s ability to process large quantities of organic material is one of the key benefits of using BSF in waste management, as they can significantly reduce the volume of waste, turning it into a useful product while also enriching the soil.
